This part was actually what make me think it was bullshit. The idea of an American civil war plus Hispanic uprising, Mexican incursion with Russian support just seemed dumb. Like something a 16yo HOI military history nerd thinks up. Now her we are.

The Southwestern United States — California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas — these are not merely American states. They are, by every measure of history, culture, and identity, part of Greater Mexico.
For centuries, these lands were inhabited, cultivated, and governed by the Spanish-speaking peoples of New Spain, long before the United States existed in any form.
It was only through war and coercion — the so-called Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848 — that this territory was annexed. The Mexican people did not choose this. It was imposed upon them. Yet the land remembers. The names of the cities, the traditions of the people, the very language spoken in the streets — all of it speaks of our shared Mexican heritage.
What we are witnessing today is the deliberate erasure of this historical truth, as these regions are turned into instruments of a foreign identity. But history cannot be erased. The Southwest is not a borderland. It is a heartland — a heart that still beats with Mexican blood.
