My parents are from Iran. They moved to Los Angeles during the Iranian revolution.

My father’s heritage is Muslim, though he dislikes Islam. My mother’s heritage is Muslim and Jewish.

According to Jewish law, I am Jewish, and according to Muslim law I am Muslim.

I don’t know which side to pick. Do I choose the holy land although I’ve never been? Or the country my ancestors have been in for thousands of years.
