Maybe, in a better timeline, where he had been a younger and more ambitious man, he'd have risen up and toppled their weak government that let Seoul fall to the samurai twice. Your people were being raped, your cities were being sacked, and your nobility were busy doing silly moral politics and infighting rather than protecting the servants by providing them with good command.
