A brawler with destructible environments. Bananza is a good blueprint for the mechanic, but put it in a flat terrain with a bunch of stuff to destroy, and Bowser gets his own set of villains to fight, no Mario, no Peach, just him, his minions, his son and a new cast of baddies. Part of the fun of Wario and DK getting their own series and games is that they introduced new characters who eventually got their own games (Diddy, Banjo, Conker). They need to go back to that risky yet lucrative timeframe. As lame as Grape was in Showtime, that was still an attempt made at an original villain.
