A cult is an organized group whose purpose is to dominate cult members through psychological manipulation and pressure strategies.
Members of a cult are often vulnerable individuals, such as children or the mentally ill.
Signs of a cult can include:
>Following a leader with unquestioning faith and allegiance
Members of a cult will often follow what their leader says, no matter how illegal or bizarre. Examples could include sending pipe bombs to nursing homes, or repeatedly posting seemingly meaningless walls of text.
>An emphasis on a special belief or doctrine viewed as strange by others
For example, a belief that pornography created by freemasons is destroying the world and that the cult is saving the white race, or that one of their leaders is the reincarnation of a former US president, or that cult members can use astral projection to view the future.
>An “us vs. them” mentality, often using persecution of the group as evidence of its truthfulness
For example, getting barred from something, such as a discord server or a drawing chatroom, and then declaring war on the people who use said server/chatroom.
>The use of fear and intimidation to keep you in the group
For example, the leader threatening to leak the personal information of people who leave.
