Unironically this is horrible and frightening.
It doesn't matter if their behavior is "morally wrong", it's a private matter between them and their "official" partners. Now their careers and lives are getting destroyed by thousands of anonymous sociopaths, living thousands of miles away on the other side of the planet. This is way worse than the public humiliation under any regime, because there it was centralized and rules-based. But with our technology, it's completely decentralized, anyone on Earth can partizipate and there are zero laws prohibiting doxxing and harassing people online. This has to be one of the worst of Pandora's boxes that we have opened so far.
