Reminder that there is no such thing as an "ethnic Russian".
Even the Russian state refers to "Russian-speakers".

"Russia" is the multi-ethnic former holdings of the Golden Horde, under new management in Moscow, and with a name they stole from Kiev, because "Rus" was a respected name before its association with Moscow.

Russians will seethe, but the entire world outside of Russia shares this same understanding of history, including China.
