There's no way in hell I'm ever going to be able to coordinate the right versions for all the mods I used and jump back into any of these months-long playthroughs from years ago.
Guess it's time to say goodbye. It is weird remembering certain pawns and being fond of them; "Ph" is for Phil, one of the original colonists in my longest playthrough. It went so long that the core group were all spacers and unrecognizable from humanity via gene editing, living hedonistic lives on a flagship and occasionally coming down to scorch a tribal village. The bulk of the colony sat at the original enclave, keeping it running in the elite's absence and occasionally calling them down to help repel a raid.
Phil had adult children at 100x aging and they were actively expanding on the surface, destroying outposts all by themselves while he sat meditating on a throne in orbit. Anomaly would have been perfect to upset that power balance by cranking up the threat level, but the timing didn't line up (and I doubt it would have been compatible anyways).
They were essentially the spacers from Brigador, but organically formed in a few decades from a ramshackle group of refugees that let tech hunting influence their belief system. Going to try something similar with a solo mechanitor start
