Yesternight I watched L'affiche rouge by Frank Cassenti, after years of coveting it. It sucks. The overly expositional dialogue killed it. There was however a (propagandistic) bit near the end that had a powerful delivery. As a trivia, he used the same logic that will appear in his next film (La Chanson de Roland) where a troupe of actors re-enact a past event and the reality of the present and the past, history and tale, get intertwined.
