Estonia would be prepared to host allied fighter jets with nuclear capabilities in the future, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said.

@HPevkur said this against the backdrop of UK's decision, announced during the recent NATO summit in The Hague, to buy 12 F-35A multirole fighter jets from the US, capable of carrying both conventional and tactical nuclear weapons.

According to Minister Pevkur, these jets have already been deployed to Estonia as part of the NATO Air Policing rotational mission, and similar practices will continue in the future.

"The F-35s have already been in Estonia and will soon return again in rotation. We are ready to continue to host allies on our territory, including those who use such platforms," the minister told public broadcaster ERR.

Peskov called these plans dangerous and absurd.

In fact, the actions of European countries to strengthen their defense capabilities are logical, justified, and provoked directly by Russia.
