It doesn't work with all models but I couldn't pinpoint the common ancestors that enables the denoise to work that way (it might be illustrious 1.0 or 2.0). If I try it with some models like rouwei or unearthlyXL I get similar results to yours but it works if I try it with one obsession, miruku, illustrious 1.0 or whatever the version they didn't want to release was called, although some models react badly to it and start making weird anatomy.
Anyway, it's not really something I can recommend doing but giving it a try doesn't hurt as long as you don't forget to change it back.
Considering you're using comfy, you have a lot of tools to achieve better lighting including my abstract imagen nodes that you can set on radial gradient background with black being one of the colors, use that as input, lower denoise and call it a day.
