Maybe I'm stating the obvious here, but the regular endings, whether full pacifist or neutral, will leave something to be desired for the player, be that good or bad, or just left curious to see what would happen if something just went different. I think someone else has already said this, but my reasoning is this.

Let's say Deltarune released as a full product, the entire game is out at once, I think an insquisitive player would be able to get all the super bosses, some are more complex than others(chapter 3's boss, or, rather, getting the item to fight the boss properly, is more complex than the other chapters so far), so I don't think the average inquisitive player would miss it. But then we see Snowgrave, now, I don't think that's something that you would expect your average player to discover, not even one who's just very curious, I mean, it's just so weird, you get the new party member, then you go back all the way to the start, and fight every enemey, specifically killing them with the same spell? Seems a bit weird, sure if left alone it will get found out, as it did in our case, but like I said, if the full product was available from the start, the average player, even if curious, would probably miss it in chapter 2. But then you have the secret part of Chapter 3, the messages of the forbidden path being started by ice magic, being forced to kill and freezing enemies with this white hooded figure in order to progress, then in chapter 4 you start seeing all these mentions of the girl, which are confusing, since they can be interpreted as only referring to Susie. All of this I think was done on purpose to teach the player that an alternative is available, it was something to get the gears turning in the player's head, and once the player finally beats Chapter 7, they start thinking about all of these strange messages, and they realize, "but what if I did this instead? Would something change?", and that's how the game would organically lead you Snowgrave.
