i think hate about it is since a lot of artists and art school graduates dont like game devs since they are often able to make actual careers in an artistic field since they have technical abilities
and a lot of artsy people expect to be the ideas guy like it was fourty years ago when a lot of musiciians and actors were able to dominate the field and be very rich just from their own unique take
but instead these people are in debts and being replaces by ai which they dont know how to use since u cannot vibe code very well without technical knowledge
its really exposing these people as useless and they dont wanna be useless since they wanna be right
but even the ideas guys of fourty years ago who were hyper successful WERE at the cutting edge and thats the difference
electric music and electric guitars were FUCKING INVENTED by those people and they used technical abilities to sound better than anyone and they worked with technical people to run the movies industry
ITS NOT EASIER NOW JUST CAUSE TECHNOLOGY BETTER
tastes changed and the industry moves on and thats a good thing since people who are contrived should feel fucking useless instead of trying to take advantage of talented people
