This is why I don't like discussing history. Or subjects which rely on the testimonies or claims of people. You can find people who vehemently disagree with each other on absolutely each and every possible subject. People are clearly an unreliable source for conclusions and opinions. Personal direct observations and cogitation are much more reliable than regurgitating what other people said or wrote.
