I like sci-fi a lot but it wasn't what attracted me to genshin. This image on the playstation store and the trailer showing cool elemental gameplay is what got me into the game.
It feels like the devs cannot handle that some people simply do not care for the honkai sci-fi setting. First they made HSR and tried to funnel players over there. Now they keep trying to ram more and more honkai crap into genshin with shit like skirk and now the retarded space ship reveal. I wish they would give it a rest. The loose connections were fine. The blatant rewrites and shoe-horning are getting old.
