Unlike Crash who had numerous kart racers and the Titans games all Spyro has is:

Nobody is gonna care if they pick up after Spyro 3 or after those games. None of them introduce new characters like Crunch, Oxide, Emperor Velo or Nina. All they have to do is use the characters people like, make the levels big and fun and make a game like Spyro 1-3 without terrible minigames. Not hard to do unless you're a modern game dev.
