Thing is, it's not a bad idea to just go "fuck everything we're gonna live" and just let everything burn and start anew. It's them going "we're gonna live with our sins forever..." and then the next scene they're brainwashed again and forget about everything that happened and all the people they sacrificed to get to that point that pisses me off. It could've been an actually interesting route/ending seeing them live in the place they personally saw to the destruction of.
