I once talked to a sniper and they said they put in 5-9 ciphers every time they snipe to make sure they get in. This is also why they didn't have any gear, they spend all of their gold and silver on ciphers.

They weren't griefing by intentionally causing wipes at least, just lazy and expecting to get carried.
