Wuwa presents itself like a "waifu game", but in truth there's little to zero pandering, and at most a cut to black and skip to next morning with nothing implied (shorekeeper, camellya, carlotta, cartethyia, lupa), while the other girls get even less. People love fanservice and actual pandering (look at love and deepspace), these kind of half measures satisfy no one, even mihoyo is flip flopping trying to find an audience and their games change genre every couple of patches without an identity (except hsr which is doing fine financially, but the game, story, characters, and powercreeping are trash from an objective perspective).
