Not impossible, I think people have been theorizing this since the moment we heard of him for the first time. Though all the big shots mentioned back then amounted to something in the universe and weren't just "yeah, he was in Rocks once". Not saying he will be a major character, but if Oda bothered to name him back then, I expect him to be more than just a random corpse from TB to point out in an SBS.
