I have degrees in biology and clinical laboratory sciences and I don't remember these woke strawmen you conservatives won't shut up about. I don't think there was a course on non binary studies. There might have been a major called women's studies.
Atheism was growing in popularity but it was mainly a response to religious people trying to teach absolute nonsense like the Earth is 6000 years old and there are dinosaurs in the Bible, as if they saw the Flintstones as a documentary.
I had a religious roommate who brought his whole church to our apartment to smear olive oil on everything and roll around on the floor shouting in tongues while their prophet waved a sword around. I ended up going to a friend's house to play GameCube until they left.
I think I met only a couple of gay people and maybe one trans person but they might have just been a really ugly woman. One gay guy double majored in biology and dance and graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was accepted into medical school.
I did attend some talks from various people, like that wrestler with no arms, and a Tuskeegee airman, also Ralph Nader, Bill Clinton, and Jack Kevorkian. When I graduated one of the valedictorians gave a long rambling speech about how Jesus helped him get through college. I also recall some free concerts by groups like the Flaming Lips and Blue Man Group.
My astronomy course was taught by an old NASA engineer who had worked there over 40 years. One of my organic chemistry professors had a similarly long career and had almost been awarded the Nobel prize, but some other scientists he'd worked closely with decades prior won it instead.
