I feel like they are slowly ditching it. The last tactical looking frame design I personally find cool is Watanabe and Lee.

Nanami, Bridget, Yata, and maybe Lucia Pyro feels more like those FAG (Frame arm girls) figures, half-human half-cyborg type of design. But I guess because of in-game lore and M.I.N.D deviations, and progression of newer frames looks more "human"
