For some character like Morgan or complex outfits they are necessary.
Most of the time it's either more consistent or doesn't affect the generations at all (take this sabrina for example >>57978239
Espeon in some picture has a lora in some isn't, and you can't really see a big difference between the two, so it never hurts to use one.
