I played a long time ago, had a little hovercraft that was really fast and had those repair beams to fix people with (Or take apart weaker bots with a flank). Surprisingly, because of the underside frame and the centralized hover fans, it was an amazingly long lasting bot because it would frequently take direct hits with plasma or whatever and just lose a gun or two instead of losing mobility.
What really killed the game for me was the auto-regeneration or whatever, it used to be you at first couldn't repair at all in combat, then they released nanobeams or whatever the thing was that repaired you, then they finally made it so not taking damage for 15 seconds or so caused your bot to auto-repair. It felt kind of annoying to land a direct hit and cripple someone only to have them shuffle off for a few seconds and pretend like it never happened.
