Ummmmm guys....... I got some really bad news...

The CBO report came out a few weeks ago and it says the DDG(X), the Destroyer that is supposed to replace the Arleigh Burke Flight III is going to cost $4.4 Billion.... PER SHIP (in 2024 dollars), meaning they are also expecting the cost of this to go up....
For reference, the Type 055 costs China $890 million and they already have 12x of these... (I think the last 4x are still being fitted out iirc).

$4.4 BILLION for a DESTROYER.
