It's hard to play anything but Duchess.

>good with melee
>good with sorceries
>passable with incantations, specially if the Nightlord is both weak to a particular element but resistant to magic
>even good with status because of fast swings + restage
Add a STR character like Wylder or Raider and it covers all bases.

There's also the more specialized ones like Guardian and Ironeye, but since they always play the same it gets boring quick.
I hope the DLC has at least one FTH hybrid.
