Most of Fumidev's games in general put enemies much stronger than you in deeper parts of early areas or places you wouldn't expect that you're meant to come back to later, as well as huge difficulty spikes or some fights you'll need to make a specific build for.
I wouldn't really recommend hitori's games to everyone, only if you're persistent and autistic enough to love Disgaea stat growths.
