Yeah, because those "general audiences" also never played a single SH game, and would HATE every single one of the original trilogy, because they do not play like their The God of Us 4.
This garbage is literally just a reskin of SH Homocoming, with all the UE5 jank and modern AAA cancers people used to meme about already a decade back.
Not a single SH fan, nor the OG devs, wanted this shit to be made.

tl;dr: The zoom-zoom Westoids thought that completely overhauling the story and locations would "kill the spirit of SH2" and no longer constitute as a "remake".
Ironic, since they themselves then FUCKED UP EVERY SINGLE DETAIL by turning it into an action-packed RE4R x TLOU slop.
