map reconnaissance wherein tank commander plots his location on map then identifies a second point that he can visibly see (or just knows where it is) and marks that on the map, gets the degrees and distance, and then uses the picrel to line up with degrees, the gun sight to line up with distance at POA and then fires and adjusts from there
there are no indirect fire sights of any sort on T72. it does not need them. you are laying indirect fire in the same manner as you would a machine gun
