If it was just wholesome love, Satoru would be shown fondly looking back on Randal's memory, or treasuring some sort of object that reminds him of Randal... But Satoru doesn't do that, he cuts himself and assaults Randal's corpse. Randal's ideal boyfriend is someone who would desecrate a dead body.
Since Randal is an autist with no friends outside of the people in his family, I take this sort of thing as a symptom of his social isolation. I wonder how this perversion would translate into an actual relationship (in the event that he managed to find someone who wouldn't be weirded out by his autism).
