Aztecs had sacrifices and mass depopulation because Central America is a bottleneck. if anything that would make the culture resistant to being removed by war, not vulnerable to it. as for the Incas they were at the top of Andes Mountains, nobody would live there willingly because it has no oxygen as people find out when they get altitude sickness in Bolivia. where did they go? there just weren't that many of them to start with. whatever there was was just sucked up into the Spanish setter's genepool.
