gz anon, that's a tough hike. You have to XC ski or snowshoe in with all your gear and basecamp at chimney pond, right? I've been wanting to try the lions head winter route up washington but can't really justify purchasing mountaineering boots, crampons and an ice axe for winter hiking in the northeast. There's just so few use cases.

I was topside when it was 55 mph and it was extremely uncomfortable, I should get goggles but it's hard to find ones that fit over prescriptions.
