They dropped the ball so hard on the races they had and didn't use for party members. Alfira is the obvious one, especially since a Bard in the party would finally be new (instead of the obvious Mage, Fighter, Cleric etc). I would also love a Halfling, Gnome or Dwarf party member and they had several throughout the game they could have used and would work.
