I have been thinking about this some more (I know nobody cares, but indulge me):

>Vitality tree
1) Change Vitality to Flak Jacket, make it so it reduces damage from explosions and fragments and reduce the cost.

2) Add a perk that makes it so you take less damage while charging and increases charge length, to encourage people to use that mechanic aggressively instead of just as a mobility aid for Engineers.

3) Remove the Health Regen perk because it sucks and is a huge noob trap. Alternatively, reduce its cost to like 2 for the full effect because it sucks shit.

>Weapon Handling tree

1) Change Vertical Recoil Reduction to Hipfire Accuracy. Values can be tested for.

2) Improve the values of reload speed (20%) and increase its cost, remove the reload speed perk from Ass IV or reduce it massively to the 6.8% or whatever Sniper III has, or change it to Hipfire Accuracy. We don't want reload becoming the meta.

3) Consider adding a perk that allows you to fire from the hip while sprinting with a large penalty. Allow this perk to be taken with one or two levels of the hipfire accuracy perk, similar to how you can stack horizontal and vertical recoil, but you cannot take full levels on both. Even doing this would still have the penalty be large enough that players cannot sprint and shoot with accuracy outside of point blank. Probably impossible to code.

Possibly make reloading while sprinting a perk too, but that might be too far.

>Mobility tree

1) Change Sprint Speed to Charge Speed and increase its value, and also make it so the same perk reduces how much speed you lose while getting hit and charging. Run Speed can stay.

These changes are primarily intended to undo the ridiculous damage that recoil reduction, sprint speed and vitality have done to the game's balance and game feel. I am on the fence about the sprint + shoot perk idea, but I think it could be fun (but potentially useless or OP, depends on values).

Thanks for reading my blog.
