The Right thinks that a governor actually making non-partisan appointments from across the aisle is some sort of "gotcha," because they only appoint partisan, political hacks to every position they can think of. There hasn't ever been a single Democratic FBI Director or Special Investigator in the entire history of our country, because Dems always want to be seen as "reaching across the aisle" and "representing the whole nation.
I hope this is a lesson. Act like Republicans. Fill every judicial, political, government, etc. position with party and ideological loyalists. The America you think exists, doesn't.
