Really, now that's interesting, I guess it's silly of me to think someone can only do one or the other, but I definitely didn't expect there to be multiple industry people who made the jump.

This is exactly how I feel, but knowing there are pros who "dual wield" both styles has shaken a bit of apprehension off me...Would you say Maya is good for a complete beginner to anything 3D?
