Not that important. I think it's cool how annexing all of these territories to the north could make America the world's largest whaling country economically however. Assuming quotas remain the same, the US would be the second-largest whaling state, with Japan ranking third and Norway in first place; half of the other countries competing in the whaling industry would be eliminated completely. However, we would likely need to liberalize whaling laws substantially, especially to increase food supplies in our new territories and improve their economies, which are often struggling due to Danish oppression, which has included the use of pirate mercenaries to attack Faroese and Greenlandic whalers and fishermen in order to implement extrajudicial punishment. As a result, whaling would likely be increased and we would almost undoubtedly double whaling quotas in order to meet local needs.
