But at the same time, there are still important things about 2025+ that can't be taken away regardless of whether my own personal circumstances collapse. I always had a good feeling about 2025. I felt like we were on the precipice of better times. During the last week of 2024, I used as my wallpaper an AI-generated image of happy, excited people riding a bus. Their destination was 2025, a year that I hoped would be a good one.
In certain ways, I thought 2025 onwards might be more like home. During 2024, I was thinking about having my laptop wallpapers reflect this. In 2025, I would use AI-generated anime images of someone living in a log cabin as my wallpaper (I change wallpapers every month) to show that I was living in a small but comfy home. 2026 would be a wooden cottage, 2027 a standard house, 2028 a villa, 2029 a mansion, 2030 a castle. But then I got lazy and dropped the idea entirely.
I have a feeling about Fall 2026. That will be an important time. Don't know why though.
But yeah, my main future 'character development' is about becoming nicer and more relaxed. A calm old man who can't relate to his 2010s and 2020s self.
