hmmm problem is all the japanease people who got immunity after the war like the imperial prince who ordered Nanjing massacre.
all the troops and civilian contractors on wake island that were basically executed or forced to work to death. all the air men who were straight up tortured to death after the first few raids on the island of japan. all the killing of remaining us servicemen, civilians and phillipeano civilians after they took manilla.
usa's end to ww2 was not sufficient, should have been similar to nurenberg trials... would have gone a long way to fixing some of the future sticking points in trying to unite different sides/avoid a future conflict.
norks straight up have a good reason to never trust usa/japanease, communism/politics aside.

china would not have as much leverage in the region if the usa would have arbitrated better justice after japanease surrender. look at how they treated populations of HK and singapore after they surrendered and they thought they were untouchable.
