Boars were pretty low level mobs and you think you still have enough muscle memory intact that you could probably dodge them but it wouldn't hurt to play it safe. Although Rangers and Gunners had access to more advanced traps, players outside of the class could still make their own rudimentary ones. You back off a bit and start to scavenge around for bits and pieces to start your little project. You sharpen an armful of sticks and break off a flexible branch. Tying the sharpened sticks to the branch, you then tie the branch to the trunk of a near by tree and pull it backwards before holding it in place with a thinner piece of rope that ran the length of the branch and between two trees.

With your handicraft done, all you had to now was lead a boar to your contraption. If all went well the boar to break the tripwire and cause the branch to whip forward and drive the wooden spikes into it. You dig around your pack for some of the food you were given as a quest reward, a nice fat drumstick. Grabbing your last stick, you attach the piece of chicken to it and creep forward. Back at the clearing where the boars were grazing you climb the nearest tree and dangle the food. The boars seem oblivious to your bait until a breeze flows through and carries the scent of seasoned poultry towards them. One of the boars perks it nose up and begins wandering towards your location. You leap from your perch to a nearby tree and continue to dangle the chicken just a few feet away. The boar's ears perk up at the sound of you rustling the leaves but it's hunger outweighed whatever caution it hand and it continues to follow you.

"That's it...come on." You whisper as you slowly lead it towards your trap. In the final stretch, you let the boar get close enough to try and get a bite before hurling your bait away and over the tripwire. The animal's greed gets the better of it and it rushes forward. There's the sound of the rope snapping and an angry squeal of pain as the branch whips forward to slam the spikes into the beast's side. "Got you!" You shout as you jump down and bring your fist down upon your prey.

You feel your attack strike true as your fist collides between the boar's eyes. The animal slams into the ground from the force of the impact and bounces slightly before it flails in place to regain it's footing.
