There is nothing bear about Panini, except MAYBE the canines -if- she was really part bear. You are trying to rationalize her having bear traits because Chowder is supposedly part bear and they are supposedly the same species.

But he really isn't part bear either, there is no evidence of that. It's assumed to be true because he said it -but he said he wasn't sure in the same sentence- so it was likely just a joke about him being fat, along with the hippo thing that >>149242632 mentioned.

It's just generic round ears seen on many other characters, even other cat-like creatures. Heck, Chowder's are slightly long, so you could argue those are just short bunny ears... but let's not go into that rabbit hole right now.

Bottom line: Chowder is not a bear, so there is no reason to believe Panini is a bear either.
