I quite literally joined the fandom in 2018, I missed its peak by a sliver. I was already interested in DR in 2017 but it took me a while until I played the games, dammit. My generation was mind numbingly boring, I loved the active community of fanart and fanfiction but all the memorable persons I interacted with were all horrible immature infants. I was an infant, too, but they were especially annoying. I was one of the people to know about Danganronpa by name when it became mainstream after V3's release and yet I envy the niche SDR2 centric community it had.

Eugh...
Before 2018 and DR, I was in a HS adjacent fandom so that franchise feels like a ghost that haunts my every interest. I despise the insuffetable american influence it had over the fandom, because as much as I appreciate an english community I've always been first and foremost a VN elitist.
