Kek there was one of those in a city near me. Really didn't believe or grasp how widespread that sort of thing was at the time. I know all ethnic groups have a tendency to stick together but the Chinese seem especially tight. But then, what good is that when you just bring the police state with you? It's like they fear they'll get in more trouble by mingling. It's a fascinatingly fucked up culture, and it's a shame because they have a cool history.
