The cold weather and has me thinking about a Frostpunk type story. This could either be a game or an anime/doujin.
A world similar to Frostpunk where an apocalyptic frost has swept the world but the generators that keep humanity alive are powered by fire elemental monster boys. With the frost came a deadly disease that killed only men. These men would spontaneously combust before dying. When every 2,000 men die though their essences would coalesce under the influence the mysterious "Phlogiston Factor" and be reborn as sapient fire elementals. These fire elementals eat wood, coal, oil, gasoline, ect and can power generators or, failing that, huddle together with throngs of women to keep them alive. The are able to burn very hot but their touch does not harm flesh. They can have sex and cum a special fluid called "Phlogistasm" (get it, phlogiston + orgasm har har). This glowing red-pink liquid carries vast biological energy and heat and in the bellies of women it vastly increases the efficiency of heat transference. Which increases even more whenever they orgasm.
