Mazda is God, just through a very old filter. Zoroaster himself spoke of the coming of Christ, which is why they don't accept converts, it was a temporary religion until the birth of the Messiah. The ones still clinging to Zoroastrianism today see it as a Persian identity, not unlike Arian Christianity with Germanic tribes. The three Magi that visited Jesus in the manger were all Zoroastrians.
