Mightyena looks just like a brown hyena, including the overcoat.

yeah, and turtles are not blue. The majority of pokémon don't follow the colors of their real life counterparts, more often having their colors follow their type and Mightyena is a Dark type, so black/grey is the standard color (and the shiny is there to make it brown anyways).
