Of course, the organism on Benjamin’s head is an itinerant Chaponite, a sac-shaped green creature that drifts about, perching on top of greedy or lustful creatures and waving its antenna to gather the Q-rays generated by these emotions. The first Chaponite specimen was captured by the US military as far back as the 1950′s — though of course, its nature was not understood until much later, after it had completed its long reproductive cycle and its pupated young burst unexpectedly from its host’s eye sockets.
