It's more than 8, but we'll need to see how it actually behaves ingame in terms of resets. but basically
>consume dust to reroll
>1 dust for flower/feather, 2 dust for everything else
>by default 1 reroll lets you guarantee two rolls into selected substats
>each dust consumed gives progress on pic related
>it's not specified if pic related is per individual artifact or a global tracker across all artifacts
>once you have consumed six dust you can guarantee 3 substat rolls
>once you have triggered this effect twice you can guarantee 4 substat rolls
>it's not specified if the progress bar reverts all the way back to 0% after these effects are triggered although I assume it does
It might sound like it's going to take tons of dust to get to the increased amoutn of guaranteed rolls but keep in mind there's a high chance of you 'naturally' getting multiple good rolls long before you even reach the guarantees
Ideally you should only use the rerolls on 4 liners with at least one additional good non-crit substat as well just to minimize the potential of dead stats, if you're the type who cries and shits themselves over 3 or 4 rolls going into crit with 1 or 2 spare rolls going into EM, ATK% or something similar you're just stupid
