I'm brainstorming some ideas because lots of people liked the idea of some pokemon animation. I quite like this vibe of a cute and happy and oblivious monster pred and a girl that have a nightmare of a time. I'm trying to think of what pokemon (and their gen-appropriate trainer) would fit this vibe well.
