I just wanted to talk about the current situation in syria, it is ok if you do not care, I also would like not to care but I live there so it is difficult, but if you do care and are curious then, to be brief, it is as you would expect, but here are more details: the current situation here is shīt due to Muslim extremism (unsurprisingly), for a while now they have been persecuting guys wearing shorts, yes, guys, not girls only, they have also been constantly trying to ban alcohol specifically in the coastal city of Latakia where I live for some reason, they have also closed a monumental movie theater in Damascus, they are also trying to close down clubs, cafés, restaurants, and malls,and a while ago the government have issued an official command of banning all revealing clothes on the beach and public swimming pools, with the exception of 2-star hotels and private swimming pools, so, it is like: "you are allowed to be indecent as long as you can afford it" lol, women are to were burkinis like in the photo, they are currently busy with the situation down to the south of syria, killing unarmed druze and all that. So, in short, do not ever believe that this country is anything other than a dumpster, and even though you don't need to hear this but: don't EVER come here, fuck tourism, there is nothing to see here.
